About Us

Serving the Community Since 1955

The Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad is a corps of volunteers who provide basic life support, advanced life support, and fire and rescue service to Wheaton and the surrounding community.   WVRS has provided continuous service every hour of every day since 1955. Over the past 60 years we have responded to hundreds of thousands of calls for help from the public. We responded to over 11,000 emergency 9-1-1 calls in 2017 utilizing highly trained personnel who volunteered over 80,000 hours of service.  WVRS is a 501(c)3 organization.  Your donation is tax deductible.
