At 1805 hours on Tuesday October 11, Montgomery County Emergency Communications filled the assignment for a fire at a nail salon off Bonifant Avenue in downtown Silver Spring. First arriving units found smoke coming from the front of the store. Rescue Squad 742 arrived shortly thereafter and its crew began a search of the salon, as well as attached residences and businesses that were full of smoke. The crew then controlled the utilities for the store and returned to service.
