At approximately 0720 hours on the morning of Sunday, January 9, Rescue Squad 742B was dispatched to a house fire on North Gate Drive. First arriving companies reported significant smoke and fire from the basement of the residence and began knocking the fire. The rescue squad began its search of the house which turned up negative. They found fire extending to the second floor and attic and found areas where the floor was burnt through. The squad then assisted Division 2 with opening up the walls and ceilings to expose any hidden fire. The crew was placed back in service around 0930.
